Holy moly, how is it November already?!
The year is almost coming to an end, so my main focus for the rest of the year is to really laser focus myself on the yearly goals I set for 2024.
October was a hectic month with lots of offline appointments, so I was pretty quiet on the socials! As for fun activities on a personal level, I took road trip with my besties which was GREAT!
Well…I’m in a much-needed reset so here is my November reset routine, so let’s do this!
Last Month’s Goals
Health + Wellness
✔ Work out 3x a week
✗ Allow time for rest/self-care every day
✔ Have a spa day
Life
✔ Go on a road-trip
✔ Visit a pumpkin patch
✔ Watch a scary movie for Halloween
Work
✔ Start tutoring
✗ Post more stories + reels on Instagram again
✗ Re-organize my IG highlights
This past month, my self-care has taken a fall. I notice myself falling back into the old pattern of not allowing myself rest or relaxation, because I feel the pressure of having too much to do. My thoughts go back to “I will rest after I’ve done X, or when Z is finished, then I can take a break.”. And that’s just not OK, because that’s the whole reason I started this journey! To NOT do that any more.
Despite that, this month has been quite fun and I felt a lot of gratitude for the people around me and especially nature. This season is so cozy, and I love the colors so much!
Work wise I’m quite dissapointed in myself, but I’m trying to not tear myself down and look for the wins and things I did achieve. Not all hope is lost, and November will be better!
Reflect & Reset Journal Prompts
Let’s dive into my November Reset Routine of 2024 with my monthly journal prompts!
What am I most proud of for accomplishing this month?
I started tutoring again! I used to tutor when I was in high school (and all through university), but I stopped when I began working full-time. However, ever since I started my own business, I was thinking about picking it up again, and this month I finally did. And it felt SO good! I got so much from helping out, diving into the material and watching a kid connect the dots…never realised how much I enjoyed doing this and I’m so happy I decided on getting back into it again.
How was I feeling this month? Why?
There were lots of feelings of gratitude too this past month, the change of seasons has got me all up in my emotions (mostly happy!). But I was feeling super stressed too, mostly because I was worrying about this upcoming month. I really wanted to make a lot of progress in October, so that the busy months of November and December would be doable. However, that only led to paralysis by analysis and a lack of doing anything at all.
What events happened this month?
I went on a road-trip to The Ardennes with my best friend at the beginning of October, and it was so much fun! I visited my first ever pumpkin patch to pick up pumpkins for the carving session, and of course that sunday itself was the highlight of the month! Also celebrated Halloween at home, with these Jack-O’-Lantern Stuffed Peppers and watching Hocus Pocus 2 (oh the nostalgia!).
One thing I’m grateful for that got me through the month.
Without a doubt: leaves! The colors (orange, red, yellow — everywhere!!), watching them fall through the air, the crunch they give when you walk over them…gosh that made me happy every single day!
List some things you learned this month.
Stop wasting time worrying about what’s going to happen, and just take action on what you can do at this time. There’s no use in spending energy on what’s not happening right now, because this moment is all there is. And if I feel stuck in the spiral, write it out of my head and journal on it!
If I could redo this month, what would I do differently?
Put my phone away, stopping the endless doom-scrolling on social media. I would make sure I took action, and then take breaks afterwards, not procastinating the thing I need to do.
How will I prioritize myself in November?
Truly schedule in self-care moments daily. I want to allow myself rest. I want to listen to what feels good, and not be rigid in my schedule.
Highs & Lows
High: I hosted a pumpkin carving party with a friend I hadn’t seen in ages, and it was honestly the highlight of the month. I was so excited, the entire setting was so cozy and it was so much for to make these gorgeous pumpkins. But the best part? Catching up with her and having quality time together!
Lows: I feel like I did not make any progress in October. It was a rough month, and I felt myself struggle most days. I’ve been feeling quite lost lately and the self-doubt is creeping in again. There are so many questions of worry going through my head — am I doing the right thing? Is this what I want? Will I be successful? Am I still doing this for me? November will be about kicking those scary thoughts in the but and showing myself it will be okay.
Current Obsessions
Curious what’s got a hold of me this month? Well…
French Baked Goods
Our road trip went through Belgium and France, and if there’s one thing I will not miss on a holiday in France it is a trip to the boulangerie for a breakfast haul — every. single. morning.
Seriously, nothing beats a pain-au-chocolat from a real French bakery, especially when it’s still WARM. Been craving these ever since I got back home, but the supermarket ones just won’t cut it…
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
This month I really found my reading spark again!
I’ve read so many books this past month, but “Where The Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens was the one that really started it.
I’ve had this book for months, and it was high on the TBR, but haven’t gotten around to begin reading it (or didn’t feel like it). However, at the beginning of October I finally picked it up. And I was hooked quite quickly. From that moment on, I haven’t skipped a single night of reading before bed, because I just had to know where the story was going!
I’ve finished it now, but I have been looking forward to picking up my book and reading again seriously every day, and I haven’t had that in ages. Don’t you just love that feeling?
November Goals
It’s sure going to be a very busy month, with Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and the holidays coming up. I want to accomplish A LOT this month, and the pressure is high. My biggest focus will be on setting up my Etsy shop, and not worrying about it being perfect. I need to learn, and I can only learn by taking action.
Secondly, I really want to prioritize my sleep & getting enough rest, because it boosts my mental health the most, which is exactly what I need because when my mental health is good, I’ll be able to function better overall!

My Intention for November

November Vision Board
Quote of the Month
This month’s quote is by Alan Cohen, and it’s what will help me towards taking action:
We have to let go of waiting for ‘perfect conditions’ and just start where we are.
Every small step I take brings me closer to the life I want, and I’m learning that the act of beginning is what shapes my path forward. Progress isn’t about perfection; it’s about having the courage to start.
